ABOUT IMMSCHOOLS
ImmSchools is an immigrant-led non-profit organization that partners with K-12 schools and educators to support undocumented students and families by leading professional development, immigrant-centered workshops, and organizing for immigrant-friendly policies.

In our first year, ImmSchools trained over 950 educators and school staff; 96% agreed or strongly agreed they can better support immigrant and undocumented students as a result of their training with ImmSchools. ImmSchools also supported over 960 students and families through workshops on rights and college access.

ImmSchools was co-founded in 2018 by Viridiana Carrizales, Vanessa Luna, and Lorena Tule-Romain.

Our Vision

We envision a just and equitable education system where immigrant and undocumented students and families thrive.

 Our Mission
Through ongoing professional learning for educators, workshops for undocumented students and families, and organizing for the passage of immigrant-friendly policies in K-12 school districts, ImmSchools seeks to create a learning environment where all students, regardless of their immigration status, can achieve their fullest potential.
About our logo
The ImmSchools logo calls to mind the Monarch butterfly which immigrates yearly from the U.S. to Mexico and has become a powerful symbol for the movement for rights of all immigrants within the U.S. Our logo features ties this symbol with books as wings, linking education to the power of flight and to this human rights issue.
